Bloodletters accepts previously unpublished Nonfiction and Poetry that speaks to dealing with physical, mental, and emotional trauma.
While Bloodletters appreciates the severity and implications of all types of trauma, our goal is to publish meaningful, well-written personal narratives and experiences that will help to provide closure or resolution to our readers. If your work is selected, please indicate if you’d prefer to remain anonymous. Simultaneous submissions are accepted and encouraged, however, we ask that you please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Whether or not your work has been accepted for publication, we ask that you please wait at least three (3) months before submitting again.
We know it’s difficult to wait sometimes. But please know that we will do our best to respond to everyone in a timely manner. If you haven’t gotten a response within three (3) months, please feel free to give us a nudge. You haven’t been forgotten. Promise.
For nonfiction submissions, please send submissions of up to 5,000 words. Poets may send up to six (6) poems per submission.
All rights revert back to authors after first publication.
Please send submissions to bloodletterslitmag[at]gmail[dot]com
